Heembouw sets up a modern data management platform with E-mergo

Thursday 18 April, Heembouw and business intelligence specialist, E-mergo, signed an agreement for the setup of a modern data management platform for company. By doing this Heembouw fulfills its wish of creating a modern information hub. This ensures that the growing amount of data that Heembouw has in its systems can be processed quickly and flexibly into valuable information.

Manager IT Wijnand Wels van Heembouw calls this an important step in the digital transformation of Heembouw. “By using a smart data warehouse based on TimeXtender’s Discovery Hub®, we are able to store the data from our various systems in the cloud in a structured way. Part of the platform is an implementation of Jedox, a specialist tool for real-time forecasting, elimination and consolidation. With the help of the Microsoft “Power BI” analysis tool, we can quickly process this data into information and use it for analyses that furthers our business. Previously data was processed manually and exported to, among other things, Excel files. Now the information can be accessed quickly, error-free and automatically in various dashboards. This allows Heembouw to spend its time on analysis rather than on the manual generation of reports and dashboards. This ensures more efficiency, higher reliability and makes it possible to quickly connect with new systems so that we can stay on top of developments in the market”.

Pay-per-use

The data management platform will be installed in the Microsoft Azure Cloud environment. Wijnand Wels: “The big advantage of this is that we buy what we use and that we can adapt this environment very quickly to our changing needs. This also means that we can react quickly to the needs of the organization making the entire information hub agile: a unique situation in the SME sector. ” Wijnand Wels is the creator of the overarching BI concept that this data management solution forms an important part of.
