TimeXtender Tuesday - Episode 22
In this episode, Wahyudi and Taylor discuss a very important feature in TimeXtender: History. More specifically, Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCD).
Think of the history feature as a "track changes" for tables. It allows you to record how data in a table has changed over time, giving you the ability to create reports that reflect how data looked at a particular moment in time.
Unlike most other data warehouse solutions, TimeXtender handles the creation and automation for SCD type 0 (ignored), type 1 (overwritten), and 2 (add new record), with just a few clicks.
